Devotions

It is very important to have a time in the day to connect to your spiritual side. This time is a time for devotion to what you believe. A time for devotion to the Goddess. You will also want a sacred space in which to do your devotions in. The length of the time is up to you though you will want to give yourself enough time.

Things to do during devotions:

  • prayer
  • meditation
  • listen to spiritual music
  • work on spiritual projects
  • rituals
  • read spiritual books

A set devotional time is wonderful when you can do that. But you do not have to always do it at the same time. For some of us there are times when that doesn't work with our schedules. It does not mean forgetting devotional time, it only means doing it at different times.

I do suggest finding a time that is quiet and that you can be by yourself during. Get away from or turn off all the phones, pagers or other things that could interupted you. This is your special time.

My daily devotions occur at night. I go outside where I feel that I am so close to nature. I feel her inside my soul. To know the changing of the seasons, also are to remind me of the changes in my life. It somehow makes me come to understand things more clearly. I look around me and I can feel the heart beat of the earth and all living things. And I am referring to the trees, the grass, the animals, and Things most people would not even think about. I feel the rocks, the wind, each cloud and each star, and knowing that I am a part of each and thay they are a part of me. When I feel the wind on my skin, it is as though it goes through me to my very being. I sometimes just let the sounds of the night take me away to a place where there is nothing but pure white love. No worries about anything here on earth, I don't even know my name, where i've been, or anything related to this life. Just where I can be free.
This is how I do my daily devotions. Sometimes I dont have to have all of the tools of the trade with me. In my mind I can still smell the incense, I can hear the bells, and I can see the candle flame, and then I just let go and there I am.
