Sacred Space

It is important to have a space where you can do devotions and ritual. Whether the space is a full room or a small corner. You will want to clean this area: sweep, dust, etc. Then clear the area using smudging and/or other forms of energy clearing. After this you will want to charge the area with positive energy, giving a blessing to the area. You will want to clean your sacred space on a regular basis as respect to the Divine.

In your sacred space you may wish to have an altar. What goes on the altar is going to be up to you personally and what you feel should be on your altar. You may want objects to represent the elements and spirit. You may want images of the Goddess. It is totally up to you, it is an expression of your spirit.

I will be showcasing some beautiful altars here. Each month there will be an Altar of the Month posted. To have your altar shown as an Altar of the Month email a picture of it to me at "tranquillity @ spiritualpathways.net" (minus the spaces) and put "Altar of the Month" in the subject. Please make sure the picture is saved in Jpeg format (.jpg) and that the size is NO greater than 2MB.

This is the altar for November. It belongs to Arteal. Click the picture for a better look. Arteal is a High Priestess of the Order of the White Moon. She blends the Goddess, Shamanism, and Celtic Traditions into her spiritual practice. She spends time daily connecting with Spirit and her rituals are relaxed.
